5th District Waste Drop-Off Event – October 10, 2026
Ruskin Heights residents, mark your calendars! Kansas City’s 5th District will host a community waste drop-off event on Saturday, October 10, 2026.
The event provides residents with an opportunity to dispose of a variety of household waste, bulky items, yard debris and other materials at several locations throughout the 5th District.

7000 E. 111th Street
Kansas City, MO
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Services available at the Ruskin High School location include:
- Trash disposal
- Bulky item disposal
- Leaf and brush disposal
- Tire disposal
- Document shredding
- Electronic recycling
- Household hazardous waste disposal

Southeast High School – 3500 E. Meyer Blvd.
Trash, bulky items, leaf and brush, and tires.
Center Academy for Success – 8434 Paseo Blvd.
Trash, bulky items, brush, tires, and document shredding.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to clear unwanted items from their homes and properties while helping keep our neighborhoods clean.
